Please review these frequently asked questions prior to your new patient appointment with the physician.
|FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS|
|DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?|
No. We do not accept insurance for consultations. We do, however, provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We are typically considered out of network providers for your insurance and each policy varies. We do not accept responsibility for reimbursements.
|DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE FOR TESTS?|
This depends. We are partnered with certain lab companies that process through most insurance companies at a lower fixed amount to attempt to keep costs down. Some specialty labs may not be covered by your insurance plans. Please check with your insurance company regarding deductibles and reimbursement for out-of-network labs. It is not the responsibility of Tides of Change Wellness Collaborative to understand your individual insurance coverage.
Payment for an appointment is due at the time of booking. We accept debit cards and credit cards through Jane Payments. Credit cards can be kept on file for future appointments. Appointment date and times can be changed through our scheduler up to 48 hours prior to an appointment. Missed appointment will be charged for the full cost of the appointment.
|DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE?|
No. We do not bill Medicare for services rendered. We are also unable to provide superbills for reimbursement as we do not participate in Medicare Services.
|DO YOU SEE CHILDREN?|
Yes! Both physicians have a background in Family Medicine. Dr. Davis will include evaluation of the infant in all breastfeeding consultations.
|HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?|

|WHAT LABS DO YOU USE?|
Initially, we start with dietary and lifestyle modifications. When we feel laboratory evaluations are needed, we use the following vendors: Genova, Sprectracell, Cyrex, Precision Analytica, Boston Heart Diagnostics, Doctors Data and Vibrant America.
|WHAT SUPPLEMENTS WILL YOU RECOMMEND?|
Through our electronic medical record, we will recommend supplements through Fullscripts.
|WHAT EXERCISES WILL YOU RECOMMEND?|
We may recommend stretches and strength training exercises through Physitrack. If this is recommended for you, you will recieve these videos directly to your computer or smartphone through their platform. We may also recommend exercises through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine or Tai Chi/Qigong exercises through trusted professional colleagues. These will be discussed on a case by case basis.
|CAN MY FAMILY ATTEND MY APPOINTMENT?|
Absolutely! We recommend that for small children that may be present in the household, that another adult who is not participating in the visit be present for child care to make the most of your appointment. Appointments can be lengthy and may test the patience of young children.
|CAN YOU BE MY PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER?|
No. We can not serve as your primary care provider, however we believe that preventive medicine visits are important. We encourage you to keep regular medical appointments and sick visits with your primary care physician. Our physicians will not be responsible for annual screenings and follow up testing for chronic medical conditions.
|HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED?|
This is very dependent on the complexity of your issues. We expect to be helping you make lifelong lifestyle changes to reach your wellness goals. These changes take time to implement, and we want to follow up with you to answer any questions you may have and to help you reach these goals. We expect that, at a minimum, this will take six months to one year. This does not mean we need frequent visits if things are going well.
DO YOU DO DISABILITY EVALUATIONS?
No, we do not do disability evaluations. On a case by case basis, we will fill out FMLA paperwork for established patients. This will be at a cost of $25 for each form.
